Air India Faces Over 100 Violations: DGCA Issues Show-Cause Notices
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the aviation safety regulator, has detected several significant shortcomings in Tata Group's airline, Air India.
According to sources from PTI, these violations include over 100 discrepancies related to pilot and cabin crew training, their rest and duty regulations, and flight operations standards. However, according to Reuters, the number is 51.
Out of these, seven violations have been categorized as "Level-1," the most serious safety risks, and Air India is required to address these by July 30. The remaining 44 discrepancies must be corrected by August 23. However, the full list of these violations has not been made public yet.
