Gautam Adani shared at IIT Dhanbad that the group plans to invest ₹10 to ₹12 lakh crore over the next six years. This amount will be spent on infrastructure, mining, renewable energy, and port projects. The world's largest 30 GW Green Energy Park is also under construction in Gujarat.
Importance of AI Investment in India
According to a report by think tank ITIF, India produces around 8 lakh engineering graduates annually, six times more than the US. Additionally, more than 20% of the global semiconductor design workforce is based in India, providing companies with access to high-quality tech talent.
Experts believe that these investments will lead to an increase in job opportunities in India, making the country a major player in the global AI ecosystem. The construction of data centers and AI hubs will strengthen digital infrastructure and provide opportunities for tech-based startups as well.
