Psychological Test Not Included in Agniveer Recruitment This Time, Physical Exam to be Held
The Indian Army recently conducted a recruitment rally in Pune where, for the first time, a psychometric test was introduced for Agniveer candidates. The purpose of this test is to assess their mental abilities, behavior, and personality traits. Director General of Recruitment, Lieutenant General N.S. Sarna, told Times of India, "This (test) is still in the early stages. It has not yet become a formal requirement for the Agniveer recruitment process."
The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) developed this test through its Defence Psychological Research Institute (DIPR). The Indian Army recently introduced the psychometric test for Agniveer candidates during a recruitment rally in Pune. The purpose of this test is to assess their mental abilities, behavior, and personality traits.
Sources indicated that psychological analysis is necessary due to the stressful situations faced by the forces. When asked about the reason for the test, Lieutenant General Sarna said, "We experiment with various new things and techniques in the rallies."
A selected group of candidates appeared for the computer-based psychometric test, where they were required to answer questions related to psychological aspects. Another senior officer mentioned, "It was conducted to gain information about their capabilities. It will be further examined by officials and DRDO experts."
