मुख्य निर्वाचन पदाधिकारी अनुपम राजन ने बताया कि चुनाव आयोग ने इस बार घर से मतदान की सुविधा 85 वर्ष से अधिक आयु वाले मतदाताओं को देना का निर्णय लिया है। विधानसभा चुनाव में यह आयु सीमा 80 वर्ष से अधिक थी।40 प्रतिशत से अधिक दिव्यांगता वाले मतदाताओं को भी डाक मतपत्र के माध्यम से मतदान करने की सुविधा दी जाएगी। इसके लिए सबको फार्म 12 डी देना होगा। पात्रता की जांच में यदि आवेदन सही पाए जाते हैं तो फिर घर से ही डाक मतपत्र के माध्यम से मतदान कराया जाएगा।
