A. Rajarajan Appointed as Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre

Senior ISRO scientist A. Rajarajan will officially assume charge as the Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) on August 1. He will take over from Dr. S. Unnikrishnan Nair, who is set to retire on July 31.

Prior to this appointment, Rajarajan served as the Director of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota (SDSC-SHAR). With nearly 40 years of experience at ISRO, Rajarajan has held several senior leadership roles at VSSC. Since joining the organization in 1987, he has significantly contributed to the design and development of launch vehicle systems and integrated spacecraft structures.
