900 Selected Candidates Did Not Join MP Police; 50 FIRs Registered

A surprising case has emerged in Madhya Pradesh, where 900 candidates did not join the police despite being selected in the recruitment process. The police department is investigating the reasons. It is also noteworthy that fraud was detected during recruitment, and FIRs have already been registered against 50 candidates.

Amidst the competition for government jobs, this incident stands out. Even though candidates were selected for MP Police recruitment, 900 of them did not join. Police officials are investigating the reasons. Some reports suggest that these candidates may have obtained better job opportunities elsewhere. However, 50 of those who did not join were involved in fraud, where someone else appeared in their place during the examination and were caught during verification. Candidates had fraudulently updated biometric details (fingerprint and photo) in Aadhaar cards to allow substitutes to appear for the written test.

This raises concerns that after several candidates were caught committing fraud, many among the 900 non-joining candidates may also be involved. Verification after joining will clarify this. Earlier this year, during joining, fraudulent cases were reported in nine districts. FIRs were filed against candidates, substitutes, and in some cases, kiosk operators (computer centers).

Following this, the Police Headquarters referred the case to the State Cyber Cell for investigation. The investigation identified 50 suspects. More than 200 FIRs have been registered so far. Officials said candidates who did not join are also under scrutiny. Information is being gathered on updating their Aadhaar biometrics with consent. Candidates repeatedly updating biometric details during the recruitment process are under suspicion and will be questioned.

Interrogation of substitutes revealed that they may have appeared in exams in other states as well. Police headquarters officials noted that candidates from reserved categories could not be recruited even from waiting lists, resulting in only 325 positions being filled.
