कतर में गिरफ्तार 8 भारतीय नौसैनिकों की फांसी की सजा पर रोक लगा दी गई है। 28 दिसंबर को मिली जानकारी के अनुसार भारतीय विदेश मंत्रालय के हस्तक्षेप के बाद कतर की अपीलीय अदालत ने ये फैसला दिया, जिसमें सजा कम कर दी गई हैं। कतर में भारतीय राजदूत और अन्य अधिकारी उपस्थित थे, जिन्होंने परिवार के सदस्यों के साथ अदालत में अपील की।

कतर में दहरा ग्लोबल मामले में मिली मौत की सजा पर विदेश मंत्रालय ने कहा कि हम मामले की शुरुआत से ही पूर्व सैनिकों और उनके परिवार के साथ खड़े हैं और हम सभी कांसुलर और कानूनी सहायता देना जारी रखेंगे। हम इस मामले को कतर के अधिकारियों के साथ भी उठाना जारी रखेंगे।
