6 September- M.P. became the first state in the country to include sign language in police training.
Madhya Pradesh government has made an important change in the police training process by including sign language under the provisions of the Disabled Rights Act-2016. The aim of this step is to ensure that police officers and employees can easily understand the words of Divyangjans trapped in distress and can deal with them sensitively. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to take this step in the field of Divyangjan welfare.
