Praveen Kumar won the men's high jump T64 event at the Paris 2024 Paralympics with an Asian record, winning a record sixth gold medal for India. This is the most gold medals won in a single edition of the Games. The 21-year-old Indian para-athlete jumped 2.08m for his second Paralympic medal. Praveen had earlier won a silver medal at Tokyo 2020, which was also an Asian record three years ago.
