In the last 4 years, Madhya Pradesh has been consistently registering its presence at the first place in the country in the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana. Madhya Pradesh has received 11 awards at the national level and 44 awards at the state level for better performance in the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana. So far, loans worth Rs 1769 crore 16 lakh have been made available to 12 lakh 30 thousand beneficiaries of urban areas for self-employment under the scheme. Under the scheme, 4 lakh 89 thousand street vendors in Madhya Pradesh are successfully doing digital transactions, in which they have also received a cashback of Rs 21 crore. Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana was started with the aim of strengthening the employment of street vendors and handcart owners in urban areas, in which the beneficiaries doing their business on a small scale are to be made self-reliant by providing them working capital of Rs 10, 20 and 50 thousand. In this scheme of the Urban Development and Housing Department, during the Corona period, a grant of one thousand rupees each was also provided by the state government to the registered street vendors of the unorganized sector.
Beneficiaries also got the benefit of other schemes
Under the Self-Nidhi Se Samriddhi Yojana in the state, more than 16 lakh 17 thousand registered street vendors and family members of the state have also been given the benefit of other schemes of the government. These include the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Building and Other Construction Workers, Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan Dhan Yojana, One Nation-One Ration Card Scheme, Janani Suraksha and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.
