Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several development projects worth more than Rs 56,000 crore during his visit to Maharashtra. In Thane, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth more than Rs 32,800 crore. In Mumbai, PM Modi inaugurated the BKC to Aarey JVLR section of Mumbai Metro Line-3 costing around Rs 14,120 crore. This section will have 10 stations, nine of which will be underground. After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched various initiatives worth about Rs 23,300 crore related to agriculture and animal husbandry sector in Washim. In line with his commitment to empower farmers, the Prime Minister distributed the 18th installment of 'PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi' worth about Rs 20,000 crore to about 9.4 crore farmers. With this, the total amount released to farmers under 'PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi' will be around Rs 3.45 lakh crore. Apart from this, the Prime Minister also released the 5th installment of 'Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi Yojana', under which about Rs 2,000 crore will be distributed. Prime Minister Modi dedicated more than 7,500 projects worth more than Rs 1,920 crore to the nation under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF). These include 'custom hiring centers', primary processing units, warehouses, sorting and grading units, 'cold storage' projects and post-harvest management projects.
