Madhya Pradesh tops the country in Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. In the year 2024-25, 2 lakh 46 thousand 185 beneficiaries are registered in the state. Since the launch of the scheme, an amount of Rs 1191 crore has been paid to the beneficiaries so far. The objective of the scheme includes providing incentives to pregnant women as partial compensation for loss of wages and encouraging the birth of a girl child on the second delivery. The Government of India has started the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana from January 1, 2017 in sequence of the National Food Security Act provision. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also gave instructions for monitoring foster care under Mission Vatsalya. Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary in the Chief Minister's Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary of the Chief Minister's Office and Women and Child Development Department Mr. Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Principal Secretary Finance Mr. Manish Rastogi, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Raghavendra Kumar Singh and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
