In the report released by TomTom Traffic Index, two cities of the country are on top in the list of cities with the worst traffic and the most crowded vehicles in the whole of Asia. Among these, Bangalore is on the first place and Pune is on the second place. In Bangalore, it takes 28.10 seconds to cover a distance of 10 km by four-wheeler. In Pune, it takes 27 minutes 50 seconds to cover the same distance. Apart from this, New Delhi is on the 12th place and Mumbai is on the 14th place. On an average, it takes 21.40 minutes to cover a distance of 10 km in New Delhi and 21.20 minutes in Mumbai. Globally, Britain's capital London and Ireland's capital Dublin are the cities with the worst traffic and the most crowded vehicles. The average time taken to cover a distance of 10 km in London was 37.20 minutes and in Dublin it was 29.30 minutes. The report provides information about traffic trend data of 387 cities in 55 countries. At the same time, according to the Asian Development Bank, due to the increasing population of cities, the number of urban vehicles is doubling every 6 years.
