World Championship gold medalist Deepti Jeevanji of India won bronze medal in women's 400 meter T20 athletics event of Paris Paralympics on 3 September with a time of 55.82 seconds. Deepti, who will turn 21 this month, finished third after Yulia Shulyar of Ukraine (55.16 seconds) and world record holder Aysel Onder of Turkey (55.23 seconds). T20 category is for intellectually challenged players. With Deepti winning bronze medal, India now has 16 medals in its account. Out of these, 3 are gold medals, 5 are silver medals and 8 are bronze medals.
