Hurun India has released the latest list of India's rich on 29 August. The report of the company preparing the list of rich states that the number of billionaires in India is 334. Billionaire Gautam Adani has topped the 2024 Hurun India Rich List, overtaking Mukesh Ambani with a net worth of Rs 11.6 lakh crore. 62-year-old Adani and his family have overtaken Ambani, who is now in second place with a net worth of Rs 10.14 lakh crore. Adani's position reflects his prominent presence in the Indian business landscape, while Ambani, who has long been India's richest person, is now in second place. The list also includes Kaivalya Vohra and Adit Palicha, founders of quick grocery delivery app Zepto, among the youngest billionaires. At present, the age of these two billionaires is only 21 and 22 years. However, Bollywood's Badshah Shahrukh Khan has been included in the Hurun India rich list for the first time. This is about 29 percent more than the year 2023. Last year, a new billionaire was being added every 5 days. With 17 people joining the Hurun India list, Hyderabad has overtaken Bengaluru for the first time to secure the third position in the rich list. Mumbai and New Delhi are in the top two positions in terms of new additions.
