Justice Suresh Kumar Kait took oath as the 28th Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh on 25 September. Governor Mangubhai Patel administered the oath to him in a simple ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan. Justice Kait was earlier working as a senior judge in the Delhi High Court. On September 17, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the name of Justice Kait. After this, an order was issued to make him the Chief Justice of the MP High Court. Justice Kait will hold this post for 6 months. Justice Suresh Kumar Kait was born on May 24, 1963 in village Kakaut in Kaithal district of Haryana. He obtained a bachelor's degree in law from Campus Law Center, Delhi University and enrolled as an advocate in the year 1989. Justice Kait has held several important positions including Panel Lawyer/Senior Counsel for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Standing Counsel for Central Government for Railways, Additional Judge and Permanent Judge of Delhi High Court.
