A team of health experts from various states paid a courtesy visit to Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel at Raj Bhavan for the workshop organized under the National Sickle Cell Eradication Mission. Governor Shri Patel emphasized the usefulness of AYUSH medicines for sickle cell disease management. He discussed measures to improve the quality of life of patients. The Governor personally interacted with the representatives of various states and understood the best practices adopted by them in sickle cell management. He appreciated the steps taken by Madhya Pradesh in the management of sickle cell disease. It is noteworthy that a 2-day workshop was organized at Hotel Courtyard Marriott Hotel, Bhopal on 23-24 October under the National Sickle Cell Eradication Mission. Nodal officers of 17 states, health experts and various high-ranking officials of the state participated in the workshop.
