Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the newly built Rewa Airport from Banaras. Rewa is the sixth airport of the state. Prime Minister Modi said that development work is being done in the country at a speed three times faster than before. Within 125 days of the formation of the new government, work has been started on schemes and projects worth more than Rs 15 lakh crore. Most of the budget in this is in the name of the poor, farmers and youth. A big campaign is going on to build infrastructure across the country. Our goal is to increase the convenience of the citizens and provide jobs to the youth through investment for development. The facilities of highways, new train routes and new airports are increasing. This is not just a work of bricks, stones and iron. This is increasing the facilities of the common citizens and the youth are also getting jobs. There were only 70 airports in the country in the year 2014, the number of which has increased to more than 150 today. Old airports are also being renovated. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Modi is working enthusiastically on the front of national defense and development. His courage fills us with pride. More than 200 countries of the world are waiting for our Prime Minister Shri Modi. Soon the Rewa stream will come to Rewa too. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Regional Industry Conclave is being organized in Rewa on 23 October to speed up the industrial development of Vindhya. Through this, there will be large-scale investment for industrial development in the entire Vindhya. Establishment of industries will provide new employment opportunities. Agriculture and mineral based industries will develop rapidly in Vindhya. There is a good possibility of food industry in the entire division. Container and cargo airplanes will soon be provided for cargo transportation from Vindhya. Also, Vindhya residents will be provided air travel for Rs 999. With the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Modi and Udan Yojana, even the poor man has got the facility of air travel. 25 airstrips have been developed along with 6 airports in the state. Airstrips will be built in every district of the state. Airstrips of Ujjain, Shivpuri and Datia will be developed into airports. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Lord Shri Ram spent more than ten years of his exile on the holy land of Vindhya. The governments of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are making joint efforts for the development of Lord Ram's Tapobhoomi Chitrakoot. Skill development centers have been set up in every division to provide employment opportunities to the youth. Youth can improve their future by taking training in these centers. Many efforts are being made to promote agriculture and milk production. Milk producing farmers will also be given bonus. Continuous efforts are being made for all-round development in the state. In the next two years, there will be 37 medical colleges in the state. The first river linking campaign in the entire country has been started in Madhya Pradesh. By next year, water of Maa Narmada will reach the fields of farmers in Vindhya region. In the ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed Kanya Pujan and released a video film prepared on tourism possibilities in Rewa district and flagged off Rewa-Bhopal flight. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Jagdish Devda said that this is a moment of pride for Vindhya region including Rewa division, when Rewa airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. He said that in the form of airport, Vindhya has got a big gift for development in every field including tourism, industry, employment and health. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Rajendra Shukla said that the coming generation of Vindhya will remember the historic moment of inauguration of airport in Rewa for a long time. There are immense possibilities of development in Rewa. With the inauguration of Bansagar project by the hands of former Prime Minister Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, both the image and fate of Rewa changed. Many gifts have been received in the last few years including a solar plant in Rewa, the return of the white tiger, the special identity of Vindhya, to Mukundpur White Tiger Safari after 46 years. Prime Minister Shri Modi has given the gift of an airport to take the development of Vindhya to new heights.
