Madhya Pradesh Police has developed a new open-source app called 'Pistol', which is capable of collecting long-term video evidence, while the Central Government's e-Evidence app can only handle videos up to four minutes. The 'Pistol' app has been launched on an experimental basis in Chhindwara range. The special thing about this Pistol app is that videos of one to two hours can be made in it and sent safely to the police station server through special coding and programming, while in e-Evidence only videos of more than four minutes can be made at a time. Secondly, videos made in e-Evidence are kept in Digi Locker, but a video cannot be saved if it is more than 10 MB. Due to this, all the states including Madhya Pradesh are facing problems.
