Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah has said that the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign started on the call of the Prime Minister of the country Shri Narendra Modi has not remained just a campaign but has now become a mass movement in the whole country. This campaign is a manifestation of our reverence towards our mother and mother earth. Today, every person in the whole country is paying homage to both his mother and mother earth by planting a tree in their name. Indore of Madhya Pradesh is already known for cleanliness, taste, cooperation, good governance and participation. From today, Indore will also be known across the country for large plantation in the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.
Under Prime Minister Modi's initiative 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign, a record has finally been made in plantation in Revati Range of Indore. At around five in the evening, this record was in the name of Indore with more than 12 lakh 42 thousand saplings. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also participated in this by planting a sapling. Till now, the record of planting the maximum number of saplings in a day is in the name of the Government of Assam.
