4 November 50% dearness relief to pensioners in urban bodies

Pensioners of urban bodies of the state will also get dearness relief at the rate of 50 percent. This increase has been given like other pensioners from October 1, 2024. The dearness relief rate of pensioners receiving the sixth pay scale will be 239 percent. On the instructions of the Minister of Urban Development and Housing Department of the state Kailash Vijayvargiya, Divisional Commissioner Bharat Yadav has issued orders to increase the dearness relief. Now the pensioners of urban bodies in the state will also get the same benefit in the rate of dearness relief as the pensioners of the state government. This order will be applicable to both basic pension and family pension. More than four lakh pensioners in Madhya Pradesh will get dearness relief at the rate of 50 percent from October 2024.
