The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organize special celebrations and awareness campaigns across the state to mark the 150th anniversary of the national song 'Vande Mataram'. In this context, BJP Mathura city held a press conference on November 6 at the City President's camp office at Holi Gate, Antapada.
Addressing the press, BJP City President Harishankar Raju Yadav announced that the campaign will start on November 7. On this day, in 12 wards of the city, collective singing of 'Vande Mataram' and gatherings will be organized in the presence of 150 workers at various locations.
From November 8 to 15, in all sectors of the city, national song singing, public gatherings, and cultural programs related to patriotism will be organized. Large participation of workers and citizens will be ensured in these events.
Raju Yadav also mentioned that at the assembly level, MPs and MLAs will lead 'Vande Mataram' singing programs. At the ward level, senior leaders will participate in collective singing. During the campaign, the public will be informed about the historical significance of 'Vande Mataram', its inspirational role in the freedom struggle, and its cultural impact on national interest.
The city president said this campaign will serve as an important means to spread the spirit of patriotism among all and strengthen the unity and integrity of the nation. He described 'Vande Mataram' as the soul of the nation and a symbol of patriotism.
