India Successfully Tests Agni-5 Missile with 5000 km Range

India has successfully conducted the test of its first intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), Agni-5. The test was carried out on August 20 at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur, Odisha.

The Agni-5 missile is equipped with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology, allowing it to strike multiple targets simultaneously. This makes it a significant advancement in India's strategic defense capabilities.

The first test of the Agni-5 missile took place in April 2012. With a range of 5000 kilometers, the missile can reach countries like Pakistan, China, and Turkey.
