American Coco Gauff won the China Open title on 6 October by performing brilliantly in the women's singles final. The American player, ranked sixth in the world rankings, defeated 28-year-old Carolina Muchova of the Czech Republic 6-1, 6-3 in the final. This is Coco Gauff's second title this season and 8th title of her career. She is the first female player to win her first seven WTA hardcourt finals in the Open Era.
